Design a Home for Your Style of Living!

Posted in At Work by Administrator on the May 19th, 2009

Believe it or not, designing a custom home can be more resonable than you think. And when you are making one of the biggest investments of your life……it needs to be exactly what YOU want, not what someone is trying to sell to you. We spend as much time with our clients as they need to design the perfect home for their lifestyle – to design a floorplan that fits their every need and has their personality and style in every inch. Each client deserves our undivided attention and our professional experience when it comes to designing a home. We ask numerous questions about their every day home life to help them decide how they want their house to flow. What flavor of style they like? What colors they love? (never be afraid of color) to help brighten their home. Do they like alot of natural light? Do they want to go as Green as possible? The questions are endless and we feel if we don’t ask them, then something may get left out that the client may not have thought about until the house is in progress and then it will be more expensive to go back and change it. If we ask the questions up front, we save you alot of money in the end and the building process becomes a pleasant experience unlike some you may have heard about.

When we give you a price for your house…….we give you the PRICE period! That’s it……the price is the price….no extras……no – oops at the end like ‘Oh, by the way…….this is how much you went over!.’ Bennett Construction does not operate that way. We work with you in the design stage to ensure you are getting all the house you want, the way you want it, for the budget you have to spend. End of story! Our clients are happy clients – just as happy at the end of the building process as they were at the beginning. Our clients LOVE us, that is why you can go to www.LoveYourBuilder.com and read our client testimonials and watch the VIDEO about Jim and Pal Bennett and they way they do business.

What is Pal Language?

Posted in I Believe, Uncategorized by Administrator on the April 3rd, 2009

It all started when my husband & I were lobstering in the Keys with his sister and her husband. My name is Palmira (named after my Aunt) and I go by “Pal” for short. We were combing the shallow waters looking for places, debris, etc in the water where there might be lobster hiding underneath. We were cruising on a pontoon boat and when I pointed out what might be a good place ( I thought) to look, noone paid any attention to me or steered the boat in the direction I was thinking they should go! So I repeated myself saying “it looks like a good spot over there” and my husband’s sister spoke up and said “That’s Pal language for…Go Over There! “. So ever since then, when I’m trying to tell my husband something or get him to do something without exactly saying it….. I say “That’s Pal Language for …………(whatever it is I want him to do or not do)”. For example: in bed at night when I’m trying to go to sleep and he’s trying to watch TV, I will sigh or grunt when the TV is too loud for me, that is “Pal Language” for “Turn it down – please!”. Believe it or not, it actually works – sometimes, but usually I have to remind him he is not speaking MY language.

Kids last day of Spring Break at Nana’s House

Posted in Family Time by Administrator on the April 3rd, 2009

We are heading to Nana’s house to pick up the girls. I just know they must have grown 3 or 4 inches taller, it seems like it’s been forever since I’ve seen their little faces. And I know that Nana has spoiled them to death – that is her job – I know! Chicken & dumplings, fresh cooked bacon and eggs every morning, gummies and everything they could possibly want to eat. It’s going to be hard getting them up on Monay morning for school, actally it will probably be harder for me to get out of bed. I’ve been sleeping in like an old cat. Hubby and I loved the time off, but we are looking forward to being mommy and daddy again – after all, our lives are not complete without our precious gifts from God.

OK – I Finally Did it!

I finally got by blog up and running. Not exactly as I would like it to look, but hey… I’m learning at this stuff. My website is still a work in progress after 3 years, I expect this to be also… always improving with time. I’ve managed to figure out how to be a webmaster and be sucessful at getting loads of traffic to our site using various forms of advertising and lately with viral marketing. Facebook, Linked-In, Twitter and a few others I have been tinkering with lately. It is soo time consuming, not sure how I’ll be able to keep up with this one also! Wish me luck and I welcome your comments!
