reluctant to work on changes we wanted, some seemed obscure

I can honestly say it was an absolute pleasure working with not only
Jim but all the people he hired to do the remodeling of our kitchen,
including the foreman of the job, electricians, countertops, floors,
tile work, etc. Jim was on the job himself several times a week and
when he said he would be there at a certain time.....he was always
there at the time he said he would be. We found him to be a man of
honor, one who keeps his word, loves his family and most
importantly, a Godly man who puts the Lord first in his life. We

When we purchased our home ten years ago, we had a list of items
to remodel and update. The reality of locating a reputable, honest,
interested person to actually complete our remodel dreams was
much more difficult than we ever thought possible. Contractors,
handy men, and other builders felt the job of remodeling two baths,
a master bedroom, a stairwell and a loft was either too small or too
big for their time. After three years, we found Jim & Pal Bennett of
Bennett Construction. Jim and Pal met with us and really invested in
us with their time and talents. They were truly interested in what our
visions were for these spaces while remaining true to the overall feel
of the home.
Every detail was addressed. When we were confronted with
something we had not thought about, Jim and Pal made helpful
suggestions with various options. They physically took us to pick
out fixtures and meet with the people constructing and supplying the
items that would be part of our home. Each stage of the remodel
was itemized, the schedule graphed, and the timing considered to
make the least impact to our family routines as we lived in our home
during the actual remodel. Because of Jim’s thoroughness, our
initial estimate was extremely accurate. Additional upgrades after
the contract were priced extremely fairly, and again, Jim’s expertise
helped us to keep those upgrades within our budget.
Every person associated with Jim Bennett and every subcontractor
physically present was of the highest character, quality and
behavior. This was a major criteria for us as we have children and
we wanted good examples around them.
The result of all of Jim & Pal’s efforts is amazing. We now have the
bathrooms, master bedroom, loft, and stairwell that we envisioned.
After a long day at work, we come home to spaces that are
beautiful, functional, relaxing, and will serve us for many years to
come.
